The Mad Greek first opened its doors in 1991, founded by Chris and George Limberakis — two brothers from the beautiful island of Lefkada, Greece. They brought with them not only authentic Greek recipes but a deep passion for hospitality and sharing their culture with the Charlotte community. Over the years, the Limberakis family built a beloved neighborhood restaurant rooted in tradition, quality, and family values. In 2024, a new generation of Greek-American restaurateurs proudly took over the Mad Greek.
